Celebrate Bernards Township’s 257th Anniversary at Charter Day on Saturday, May 20th! Head to beautiful downtown Basking Ridge for a full day of festivities! From live entertainment to food to history and art displays to amusements and more, there is something for the whole family at this great annual community event!

Charter Day will take place between 11:00 am to 9:00 pm this Saturday. Check out the times for all activities and events below! For an event map and schedule, swing by the Charter Day booth set up at the intersection of Finley Avenue and Henry Street.

Street Fair | 11:00 am - 5:00 pm

Check out booths by Bernards Township artisans, businesses, community groups, and service organizations.

Special Displays | 11:00 am - 5:00 pm

Head to Westminster Hall (1 East Oak Street) to see works of art and photography by local middle and high school students. Historical exhibits will be on display at Brick Academy (15 West Oak Street).

Amusements | 11:00 am - 6:00 pm

Enjoy carnival games, inflatables, and rides at Oak Street School Field (70 West Oak Street).

Food | 11:00 am - 8:30 pm

Dine on delicious festival food, including cheese steaks, funnel cakes, gyros, hot dogs, ice cream, pierogies, pulled pork, and so much more!

Live Entertainment | 11:30 am - 9:00 pm

There is incredible live entertainment for local and regional performers planned throughout the entire day. Opening Ceremonies will be held on the Main Stage at noon. Don’t miss Charter Day Idol at the the Henry Street Stage from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Then head over to the Main Stage for Hoi Polloi from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  

Charter Day visitors are welcome to park at the Bernards Township Municipal Building (1 Collyer Lane) or Ridge High School (268 South Finley Avenue). There will be a free shuttle bus transporting visitors from their cars to the festival throughout the day.
